Capabilities

Our Capabilities

Currently, the team has 70+ active members with training and certification in Advanced First Aid, Rescue Systems I, Tracking, Swift Water Rescue, Rope Rescue, Large Animal Rescue and Search Management, as well as Canine, Equine and ATV SAR techniques. The team's members attend a minimum of 16 hours of training each month and personally invest hundreds to thousands of dollars in their own personal equipment.

SCCSSAR is a member of the National Association for Search and Rescue, the Bay Area Search & Rescue Council and is recognized by the California State Office of Emergency Services as a resource for both Wilderness and Urban Search and Rescue.
